Council calls on Commission to implement Competitiveness Proofing

On 5 December 2011, the Competitiveness Council adopted Conclusions on Reinforcing Industrial Policy across the EU. In its conclusions, the Council has ‘invited’ the European Commission to accelerate its implementation of competitiveness proofing, highlighting that the competitiveness of EU businesses must be viewed as a key concern for all EU legislation.
