Political agreement reached on Construction Products regulation in 1st reading

The Competitiveness Council reached on 25 May 2010, by qualified majority, a political agreement on a draft regulation updating the conditions for the marketing of construction products in the internal market, the successor to the Construction Products Directive. The text will be forwarded to the European Parliament for a second reading under the Council-Parliament ordinary procedure (co-decision).
